ESFA National Careers Service for England
The National Careers Service (NCS), funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) is a careers service for adults in England. Launched on 1st April 2012, it brings together elements of previous publicly funded careers services for adults and young people.
Currently, the service aims to provide high quality information and impartial, specialist careers advice and guidance with a view to inform and to stimulate demand for further education, work-based training and higher education. All adults aged 19+ (18+ if NEETs) across England have access to this service via the telephone, online and face-to-face. NCS is delivered nationally but is shaped locally to deliver a tailored response to local needs.
The current contract for the adult service will finish in September 2018. There will be procurement at the end of 2017 for the new contract to start on 1st October 2018 until 30th September 2021.
As part of the new procurement TCHC is seeking suitable organisations who are interested in becoming part of our supply chain in East Midlands and Northamptonshire, East of England and Buckinghamshire, London and West Midlands. We are asking organisations who wish to be considered for this opportunity to complete an initial short expression of interest. We will use information provided to shortlist partners against the criteria required by ESFA to deliver the National Careers Service.
Shortlisted partners will then be invited to complete a second stage application which will provide further details.
