Harry Leslie was a World War II veteran who made a difference.
He grew up in poverty and heavily relied on his community. He wore clothes donated by charity, Harry wanted the suffering of his generation to be a warning, he didn’t want history to repeat itself and went on to write several books post-war about his experiences.
An advocate for the UK's National Health System, Harry used his voice on twitter to reach 250,000 people. He was a human rights activist and vocal about the need to protect refugees after seeing the crisis first hand in camps across Europe at the end of WWII.
Harrys legacy will live on and signifies the importance of giving back to your community and people in need.
