Join the Enterprising People programme. We can offer you the support you need to achieve your dream of working for yourself. Our network of experts can help you develop the essential tools and skills you need to set up your own business and become the boss!

Our programme which is funded by the European Social Fund and National Lottery's Community Fund is tailored for you so that you will have the confidence and skills to become self-employed.

Who is it for?

If you are 18 or over, unemployed or economically inactive or facing disadvantages this programme could be for you.

Residents of the South East Midland Local Enterprise Partnership which includes areas in and around Kettering, Daventry, South Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Central Beds, Luton and Banbury.

What does the programme include?

This flexible programme is designed to meet your needs and can include:

  • Identifying the development needs and support required
  • Developing a business idea and opportunities
  • Assessing viability and refining your product or service
  • Legal and business requirements for getting started
  • Finances and cash flow
  • Putting together a business plan
  • Sales and marketing
