Hours: 8.30am-5.00pm or 9.00-5.30pm Monday to Friday
Location: Essex -and other locations as required-
Contract: Permenent
Salary: £25,000-£30,000

 Purpose of Job

The post holder will be employed on the ESF ESFA NEETs project promoting and supporting our participants into progressions on this project. The post holder will be working on the uptake of TCHC Apprenticeship provision as well as securing work placements and progressions for our study programme students. The post holder will work on other projects as required.

The post holder will actively engage with employers across the geographical area but may be required to work across other geographical areas as required using a variety of interventions to support employers and participants with their recruitment and skills needs, matching their requirements with the full range of TCHC programmes and contracts to meet their needs.

TCHC programmes include but are not limited to Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Unemployment programmes, Youth and Adult programmes and In-Work Skills Support and Training. The Role will be target driven to develop new business and will entail all aspects of recruitment work from cold calling employers, face-to-face meetings and account management, through to arranging interviews, follow-ups and feedback.

Your success will be measured by the number of successful employer engagements with outcomes that support TCHC projects.

We are looking for a sales driven individual with an eye for commercial opportunities as well as maximising our government-funded projects.

Main Tasks &Responsibilities

  • Meet individual KPI’s and team targets as set out by the Programme Manager and Senior Management Team.
  • Meet agreed contract targets with to ensure that revenue is secured
  • Ensure effective reports are produced and presented as required to the Programme Manager, Senior Management Team and other colleagues. This may include providing statistical data to detail progress.
  • Prepare for and attend monthly caseload review meetings with your line manager and team meetings with colleagues
  • Complete a Training Needs Analysis and Organisation Needs Analysis as required with employers
  • Complete accurate, eligible and appropriate paperwork for the evidence requirements of the projects you work on with up to date records of progress being maintained
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and within agreed timescales to ensure that contract requirements are met, and funding is maximised
  • Have a good knowledge of the TCHC training offer, tutor availability, units covered in qualifications, with up to date knowledge on all TCHC products and services
  • To utilise the TCHC toolkit that will include all TCHC Group services plus commercial contracts, eligibility criteria for funding, geographical coverage and funding stream outlines to ensure financial viability for all activities
  • Generate Apprenticeship opportunities for new vacancies and for existing staff and support the recruitment of candidates to these roles
  • Account manage employers to ensure they are communicated to effectively and have a point of contact at TCHC to raise any concerns or issues, so they can be turned around promptly.
  • Engage with stakeholders and build relationships to finalise data-sharing and referral networks (this includes but is not exclusive to working with Growth Hubs, Employer Networks, Local Authorities, Job Centre Plus, Recruitment Agencies, Universities, Community Organisations, Employers, Training Provider Networks and any others as required.)
  • Deliver high performing employer engagement working with Chambers of Commerce, FSB, CBI, telemarketing companies, employer hubs and employer networks to meet targets for employer engagement, job outcomes and other project deliverables.
  • Attend and generate opportunities through marketing and promotional events
  • Work with Marketing Manager and team to ensure that the projects are effectively marketed, working closely to ensure the TCHC training offer is promoted effectively, marketing collateral is up to date, accurate, and brand awareness is effective
  • Source and place participants into job roles. Build relationships with local employers and JCP to support participants into the roles.
  • Source and support work placements and work experience opportunities
  • Sift participants CV’s and present these to recruiting employers
  • Liaise with TCHC staff across a range of programmes regarding job opportunities and building relationships to ensure CVs and candidates are put forward for appropriate vacancies or opportunities
  • Gain and maintain local knowledge from Advisers and JCP staff regarding new openings, recruitment drives and redundancies
  • Deliver first Class customer service to our Employers and participants
  • Respond to seasonal trends and be able to forecast recruitment drives
  • Work with our partners to share best recruitment practices for our participants
  • Keep abreast of all future recruitment and Skills Initiatives and maintaining market awareness
  • Record and update information onto databases and the agreed CRM in line with company processes and procedures
  • Ensure the projects for which the post holder is responsible, are delivered effectively and with proper regard for propriety, value for money and financial controls
  • Ensure that all legislative requirements are observed and adhered
  • To actively promote Health & Safety and the Equality & Diversity agendas in the workplace and in-service delivery
  • To participate in IAG, initial assessment, training and workforce development activity as required
  • Manage your own diary effectively to maximise your caseload, considering the areas you will be working in
  • Ensure your diary is full up through effective telephone engagement and other marketing to bring in new relationships and new employers and participants onto programme
  • Keep up to date with labour market information, legislation, and professional and academic developments by visiting employers, training providers and training events run by educational and professional bodies
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and self-assessments and the implementation of subsequent action plans
  • Work alongside the Quality Assurance team to ensure that delivery meets the high expectations of TCHC
  • Any safeguarding issues are raised accordingly in line with TCHC’s Safeguarding Policy
  • Any complaints are raised accordingly in line with TCHC’s Complaints Policy
  • Take a proactive approach to ensure Prevent and Safeguarding is embedded in all areas of work
  • Act as an ambassador for TCHC Ltd always, providing key information to all parties involved within the learner journey
  • Actively ensure own CPD is kept up to date
  • Work alongside Marketing and the Programme Manager to develop and collect case studies to support future work
  • In addition, the post holder may be asked to carry out other reasonable duties, appropriate to their experience, qualifications and level, across the geographical area that TCHC operates in.

Any other duty which, from time to time, may reasonably be required to meet the needs of TCHC.
