This course is designed to help individuals gain the necessary English skills needed to succeed in life.
English Functional Skills is made up of three elements…
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking and Listening
There will be an assessment for each of the three areas above.
You will also gain support with cost-of-living budgeting.

MCS Support

- Signposting
Real Work Experience
- Work placements
- Job shadowing
- Volunteering opportunities
Employment Hub
- Access to local employers live job vacancies
- CV and job application support
- Interview training
For Adults:
- Living in Cambridgeshire, Fenland or Peterborough
- 19-24 Unemployed/Employed or 24+ Unemployed/Economically inactive
For Young People:
You must be enrolled on a vocational qualification at one of our GAPS centres
