Dale is an entrepreneur with clear vision and commitment who possesses the drive and determination to excel in demanding roles.

Dale is an entrepreneur with clear vision and commitment who possesses the drive and determination to excel in demanding roles. With a successful track record in sales, marketing, and financial management, coupled with excellent business acumen and commercial awareness, Dale ran his own retail and distribution businesses for 27 years before transitioning to the role of Business Adviser at the London East Training and Enterprise Council in 1997.

Thanks to his strong networking abilities, extensive experience, and vast business contacts, Dale was promoted to Head of the Small Business Service. In 2001, he moved on to create a similar team for Reed in Partnership.

Dale established TCHC Group Limited, formerly known as The Consultancy Home Counties Ltd, after winning a contract to deliver the Employer Training Pilot in 2003. Leveraging his hands-on knowledge, he secured and delivered three additional contracts for the LSC before being awarded the Train to Gain contract for the East of England in 2006.

Under Dale’s leadership, TCHC Group has grown and diversified into a company with nearly 100 staff, specialising in delivering Government contracts for the Department of Work & Pensions, the Department of Education, Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), and Local Authorities.

While Dale has a passion for Employability, the company has been reengineered in the last 3 years, focusing on education and specialising in helping the hardest-to-reach young people through our 6 Study Programme/Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Centres.

After 10 years as TCHC Group’s Chief Executive, Dale was appointed Chairman of TCHC Group Ltd in 2016.

Courtney Grinham

CEO

Courtney is the Managing Director of TCHC Group where she is responsible for the strategic direction of the business.

Courtney joined TCHC Group in 2010. She started in Gateway working on Apprenticeships through Employer Engagement and progressed to Recruitment Manager overseeing TCHC Group’s job outcomes for learners on funded programmes. Courtney has experience as a Personal Adviser and Workforce Development Adviser.

In the last eight years she has held a number of senior positions including being a Project and Programme Manager working on DWP and ESF Contracts.

As a successful Project and Programme Manager she has led on several of our most successful programmes including Thurrock OnTrack working with Thurrock Council on this ESF and YEI funded programme.

Courtney has experience overseeing projects for specific target groups and vulnerable learners including, 50+ Skills Support, Mental Health & Wellbeing Support, Long Term Unemployed, Care Leavers, Lone Parent and Carers Employability Support.

Courtney has helped develop TCHC Group Employability Programmes with the DWP in Essex, East Anglia, London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the Midlands.

In 2017 she became a TCHC Group Company Director. Courtney believes that everyone should have the chance to achieve their career goals, no matter what difficulties they face and she is dedicated to helping them achieve this. 

In 2018 Courtney became Managing Director and in 2024 was appointed as CEO.

Yuen-Man Yau

Managing Director

Yuen joined TCHC Group in 2010 and started within the administration department before undergoing funded training to become a qualified Personal Adviser.

Yuen joined TCHC Group in 2010 and started within the administration department before undergoing funded training to become a qualified Personal Adviser. In 2017, Yuen became the manager for the Essex team and in July 2019 she was promoted to Director of Programmes for London and Essex. Yuens progression through the company continued in June 2020 as she was promoted to the TCHC Group Board as Programmes Director and became Operations Director in 2021, a couple of years later in 2023, Yuen was appointed as Managing Director. Yuen has an array of experience in working on a variety of different government funded projects. These have included managing the GAPs Study Programmes, OnTrack Thurrock in partnership with Thurrock Council, NEETs delivery as well as AEB and FLF programmes supporting the unemployed and upskilling the workforce of major employers like the NHS.

Yuen works closely with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team to manage a multi-functional team who are able to support contract deliveries across a number of different counties by striking up excellent rapport with referral organisations and stakeholders to promote and deliver TCHC’s training. In turn strengthening and continuing to develop sustainable working relationships on each programme. Yuen is extremely passionate about her role and wants to ensure that each learner, employer and staff member is able to achieve their goals with TCHC.

In her personal time, Yuen enjoys spending time with her family and children. She is a Parent Governor of her local Primary School as well as being Co-Chair of the PSA Team and an avid supporter and fundraiser for her local Children’s Hospice.
