Support for Schools
Supporting schools and young people
TCHC GAPS, Alternative Schools Programme (support for schools) put nurture, growth and development at the centre of everything we do. Our staff recognise the importance of and are skilled at quickly making positive and meaningful relationships with learners, making them feel welcome and valued from the first instance.
ASP provides a relaxed and informal approach to learning where young people can work to develop skills, independence, self-confidence, esteem and worth. The programme is tailored to meet the interests, needs and learning styles of the learners.
What do we do?
Provide an alternative educational setting for local young people
Support and encourage young people to make a positive return to their main school setting, where appropriate
Provide non-regulated English, maths & life skills lessons
Provide lessons on vocational subjects
Take a look at our GAPS Centres to find out more on how we help transform the lives of young people through education and training.
